After a nice swim and some monster Pina Coladas, we strolled to the Lizard Lounge.   Locals lined the streets, Imperial in hand. Quite a scene. We hit Tamarindo on the way home, drank Guaro. Boogie ran out of gas. Paradise was found. We are going to put on Festivale Pura Vida in March 2008. Be there or be square. We all cannot wait to move there just before Babylon falls.

We had no idea what was in store for us. All we knew, was that the festival was cancelled. In the Veggie style, we would have to adapt. We met some wonderful people during our stay.  Vegitation and Fleet Week...Yes, the Navy

The long standing ties between rebel rock band Vegitation and the Navy continued on as strong as ever when the boys visited Pier 23 in San Francisco, on Fleet week. 6 big ships came to port filled with seamen looking to party on shore. Both the sailors   and the band were touched and moved by the coming together of movements. This is what it is all about. Opening eyes, touching souls. After the show, we got to take some pics with the sailors. It was our honor.

(10.3.06)

What a great town. This was the place Michael Franti had recommended to us. The Caspar Inn is a big barn type building; club on the bottom and inn on top. Eddy, Linda, and Craig joined us for another night, as did special guest performer Tim Pacheco.   Vegitation tore up the club and then the inn, partying till the wee hours. Keep your eyes open for some funny pictures.

It is trips like this that make it all so much fun.   When that bus rolls up to the venue, people cheering and roaring (and a bit tipsy) it electrifies the audience and brings the fresh energy to take the band over the top. Thanks to all that rode along and to Basil for making it all run smoothly.
